Every great movement starts with a group of people coming together, united by a shared goal. That’s exactly what the 1830 Tribe is about - a community built for creatives, thinkers, and doers who want to grow, learn, and push boundaries in a supportive environment.
But First Let's Ask, How Did ‘1830’ Come to Be?
The name 1830 isn’t random. It’s not just a number, it’s a legacy. Years ago, a small group of film-obsessed students would meet at 6:30 PM sharp to dive into deep discussions about movies, storytelling, and the art of filmmaking. This wasn’t just a casual meet-up; it evolved into a ritual. A space where ideas flowed, creativity thrived, and dreams took shape.
That dedicated bunch unknowingly planted the seed for something much bigger. What started as passionate conversations over cinema soon grew into an ecosystem designed to nurture creatives, thinkers, and doers, people who don’t just dream but execute. And so, 1830 was born.
But the story doesn’t end there. It’s only the beginning.
Well, Now You Might Wonder What The 1830 Tribe Is?
Let's put it this way, every revolution needs a community. Every creative needs a space to grow. That’s where the 1830 Tribe comes in.
A tribe is defined as “a group of persons with a common character, occupation, or interest.” That definition fits perfectly with what we’re building - a collective of individuals who might not fit into traditional moulds but thrive in an environment that values passion, innovation, and collaboration.
The 1830 Tribe is more than just a group; it’s a launchpad. A place where fresh graduates, freelancers, and aspiring creatives can explore, learn, and push their boundaries. It’s where misfits become trailblazers and where potential turns into expertise.
But the Tribe isn’t the final destination. It’s a stepping stone.
Filling the gap for young creatives
The 1830 Tribe is all about supporting young creatives, fresh graduates, freelancers, and explorers who are ready to step into the professional world. We know that while universities do a great job in traditional edication, they often miss out on providing real-world exposure to the job market. That’s where we step in.
Our mission is to bridge this gap by offering practical experience, mentorship, and insight into how the creative industries truly operate. Whether you're a fresh graduate finding your footing, a freelancer looking to expand your network, or an international student navigating new challenges, the Tribe is designed to meet you where you are and help you move forward.
Supporting international students is one of our key focus areas. Bhanu, the founder of 1830 Crew, has been on this journey himself. “When I was an international student, it felt like a rollercoaster. I was surviving day by day, hoping I wouldn’t get kicked out of the country if I lost my job. It was tough, and I wish I’d had a community like this to lean on. That’s what I want to build with the 1830 Tribe, a space where no one has to go through this alone.”
From Tribe to Crew: The Next Level
If the 1830 Tribe is where you find your spark, the 1830 Crew is where that spark turns into a fire. The 1830 Crew is an high performing group of media, marketing, and storytelling professionals who set a new standard for quality. Here, things operate differently. Deadlines aren’t suggestions, they’re commitments. Great work isn’t celebrated, it’s expected. We believe in setting the bar so high that mediocrity has no place.
Now imagine a team like that training and mentoring the next generation. That’s where the 1830 Tribe fits in, a place to help fresh graduates and aspiring professionals step up and make their mark in the creative industries.
Is it a little extreme? Absolutely. And that’s the point.
But if you’re not quite there yet, if you’re just figuring things out and want a space to grow, explore, and have fun, the Tribe is your starting point. And when you’re ready to level up, the Crew will be waiting for you.
What’s Next? The Future of 1830 Tribe
We don’t just see the 1830 Tribe as a local community. We see it as a nationwide (and maybe even global) movement, a hub where creatives from all backgrounds come together to share ideas, grow their skills, and redefine industries.
“The creative world is massive,” Bhanu says. “Marketing world alone has so many moving parts, and so much of it is unorganised. Through the 1830 Tribe, we want to bring some order to the chaos and give people a solid foundation to build on.”
We’re using Skool as our main community space because it keeps everything in one place: updates, resources, discussions, live sessions and member support. Unlike social media or messaging apps, Skool helps us stay more focused, organised and intentional with how we engage.
By joining the platform, you’ll be able to connect with other members, ask questions, share progress and stay involved in the community. Whether you spend 10 minutes a week or show up more regularly, your engagement helps make the space more valuable for everyone.
Whether you’re just starting, looking for opportunities, or trying to figure out your next move, the 1830 Tribe is here to support you. This isn’t just another creative community, it’s a collective of driven individuals who want to make an impact.
As the Tribe grows, so do the possibilities. And the question is - are you ready to be part of it?
